(1) On Thursday we scaled Blencathra, 868m. Parking at Threlkeld, we started the walk at a small car park and proceeded to the base of Hall's Fell, one of the most direct routes to the summit. |

(4) We continue steadily up Hall's Fell, the last few hundred yards being a rocky ridge which needed a bit of climbing and scrambling! | ![]() |
(5) After about an hour and fifty minutes we reached the summit. To escape a cold wind walked along to the west and dropped down a bit to find shelter and had our lunch. |

(6) Now at Knowe Crags and heading for the mass of Blease Fell with Derwent Water in the distance. | ![]() |
(7) After the mountain we drove to Nichol End marina which we visited last year and had a coffee and piece of cake before sitting and watching the world go by on the lake shore. | ![]() |
