Walk 1 (Tuesday 12 Nov)

All the easier walks (which I did) were led by Chris.
The route of the first walk was north on the Pennine Way heading via Calton, Airton and Hanlith, to Janet's Foss, then west and down to Malham village, where we had lunch on benches.
After lunch we went through Kirby Malham, where two famous people lived, and finally back to the house.
Total distance today was 10 miles.

Walk 2 (Wednesday 12 Nov)

The second walk started by heading south to Gargrave, where we sat on benches by the River Aire and had lunch.
The route was extended prior to lunch by a walk along the canal, including an aqueduct, before arriving to our lunch spot via Church Lane.
After lunch we returned north to the house via the Pennine Way.

Distance 9 miles.

Incidentally, I don't remember my Pennine Way days over 37 years ago, so redoing parts of the PW was a novel experience!

A few of us in the vanguard arrive on higher ground at Haw Crag Trig Point!
Memories can be made at any Trig Point.

At the end of the walk, most of us are here in front of Newfield Hall.
Walk 3 (Thursday 14 Nov)

The last day's route was a sort of north-easterly there and back walk.
The walk took in some nice, typical dales rolling hills and fields, with drystone walls.
We ended up near the northern end of Winterburn Reservoir, after going through the village of the same name.

Distance walked today was about 10 miles.

Somewhere en-route, we are left to right: Theresa, Lesley, Joe, Nicky and me.

Winterburn Reservoir.
Lunch near here, then we turned round and headed back.
A pleasant place to find a postbox.
